Dr. James Crouch is a native of eastern Idaho.
He completed his undergraduate training at Brigham Young University-Idaho and received his MD from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and his Nephrology Fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Crouch chose Nephrology because it allows him to combine his desire to help people with his love of math and physics. Dr. Crouch has experience in all aspects of Nephrology. He follows patients through all levels of care, from acute problems and procedures in the hospital to follow up in the clinic, the dialysis unit, and post-transplant. He is never in just one place and loves seeing his patients in their communities.
With any patient, when they come to see a doctor, their primary goal is to feel better. Even though this goal can be challenging in the practice of Nephrology, Dr. Crouch works to help people help themselves through education and communication, with an emphasis on lifestyle and dietary changes wherever possible.
Dr. Crouch grew up in Idaho and considers the Mountain West to be home. In his time spent outside the clinic, he enjoys running, swimming, biking, fitness, music composition and performance, and reading.
